Could you introduce yourself?
Luke Paquin. Guitar player for Tashaki Miyaki
Paige Stark, Singer/Drumer Tashaki Miyaki
What's the story behind the name?
Luke: It comes from the Japanese director Takashi Miike. Our singer Paige mispronounced it one drunken night and we thought it would make a great band.
What’s your life philosophy? How do you try to apply that to your work?
Luke: Not sure we have a specific philosophy, but we definitely have specific tastes and strong opinions. Maybe its what we do not apply to our work that makes our sound.
Paige: Keep moving, keep trying new things.
Could you tell us what you think makes you stand apart in the music industry?
Luke: I'd like to think we have our own distinct style, but I don't listen to many current acts so maybe I'm wrong, haha.
Paige: You would have to ask the music industry.
How would you describe your music style? Do you feel like it reflects you?
